Discount Voucher – How It Works & Terms of Use

The explanatory notes below are provided for ease of understanding.
In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions in Section B shall prevail.

Section A: Basic Overview

What the Discount Is

The discount is a once-off incentive offered on new project instructions, intended to support early planning and design stages where decisions have the greatest impact on project outcomes.

What Stages Are Covered

The discount applies only when all early project stages are appointed together:

Stage 0 – Discover: Feasibility and strategic assessment
Stage 1 – Define: Brief confirmation and project definition
Stage 2 – Design: Concept and layout development
Stage 3 – Design Development: Design coordination and refinement
Stage 4 – Detail: Technical, council, and tender documentation

What Is Not Covered

Stage 5 – Construction
Stage 6 – Close-Out
On-site services, construction monitoring, or contract administration

Key Conditions to Be Aware Of

The project must remain active
All invoices must be paid on time
The discount applies only to the defined scope
Late payment or project pauses remove the discount

Section B: Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

1.1. The discount applies solely to new project instructions for which CLK Design Studio has not previously been appointed.
1.2. Prior engagement on unrelated projects does not constitute eligibility for retrospective application of the discount.
1.3. The discount is not available on existing, paused, or previously completed projects.

2. Scope of Services

2.1. The discount applies exclusively to professional services rendered under:

Stage 0 (Discover)
Stage 1 (Define)
Stage 2 (Design)
Stage 3 (Design Development)
Stage 4 (Detail)

2.2. The discount expressly excludes:

Stage 5 (Construction / Implementation)
Stage 6 (Close-Out / Completion)
Construction-phase services, site inspections, project management, or contract administration.

3. Appointment Structure

3.1. Eligibility for the discount is conditional upon the simultaneous appointment of Stages 0–4 as a single, consolidated instruction.
3.2. Partial, sequential, or fragmented appointments do not qualify.
3.3. Any material variation to scope may result in reassessment of eligibility.

4. Application of Discount

4.1. The discount is applied on a per-stage basis to qualifying stages only.
4.2. The discount applies solely to services expressly included in the agreed appointment.
4.3. Additional services, variations, or accelerated services are excluded unless expressly confirmed in writing.

5. Payment & Forfeiture

5.1. Standard payment terms apply.
5.2. Late payment automatically results in forfeiture of the discount for the affected stage, which shall be re-invoiced at the standard fee.
5.3. Repeated late payment entitles CLK Design Studio to withdraw the discount entirely for all remaining stages, which shall thereafter be billed at standard rates.
5.4. Discounts apply only to fees paid in full and on time.

6. Project Activity

6.1. The discount remains effective only while the project is actively progressing.
6.2. Any suspension, delay, or pause of the project—irrespective of cause—results in automatic withdrawal of the discount.
6.3. Recommencement of a paused project shall be subject to standard fees unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Discretionary Withdrawal

7.1. CLK Design Studio reserves the right to withdraw or refuse the discount where reasonable professional grounds exist, including but not limited to:

Material changes in scope or risk
Client conduct impacting delivery
Failure to comply with agreed terms
Misalignment with professional obligations or regulatory requirements

7.2. Withdrawal shall be communicated in writing and shall not constitute breach.

8. Non-Transferability

8.1. The discount is non-transferable, non-assignable, and limited to the specific project for which it was issued.
8.2. The discount has no cash value and may not be exchanged or offset against unrelated services.

9. No Waiver

9.1. Failure by CLK Design Studio to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of rights.

10. Governing Terms

10.1. These Terms operate in conjunction with CLK Design Studio’s standard terms of engagement.
10.2. In the event of conflict, the formal written appointment agreement shall prevail.
